Welcome
For as long as I can remember singing has been a part of my life. When I was younger it was pretty much all I did, singing along to my favourite songs in the mirror with my hairbrush in hand! Soon however, I wanted to know more, and to sound better. I wanted to know how it was done.
And so aged fourteen I travelled the short distance from my home in Hawarden, North Wales, to Chester for my first singing lesson. From that moment I started developing the techniques that make up a vocal performance and I knew I had found the one thing I would always love to do.
In the 7 years between that first lesson and my graduation from Sheffield University’s Music Department, I had acheived more than I could possibly have believed. I had sung in Chester and Winchester Cathedrals, Buxton Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona. I had travelled across Europe with two choirs, appeared in an adaptation of The Marriage of Figaro and been on television competing in Sainsbury’s Choir of the Year. I had won a place in The National Youth Training Choir where I was under the tuition of some of Britains finest singing teachers. And these were just some of the highlights!
After a break of some years for family reasons, I am now returning to my first love. I bring with me a wealth of experience and knowledge in both performance and tuition, and I can't wait to share them with you.
I now live in Tamworth, Staffordshire and can provide singing lessons & performances throughout the UK.
